4 December 1790 William Allender to William Morgan
William Allender to William Morgan Mortgages tract of land Freeland’s Mount containing fifty acres
This indenture made the 4th december in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety. Said William Morgan his heirs executors administrators or assigns forever and the said William Allender for himself his heirs and assigns Doth Covenant agree to and with the said William Morgan his heirs and assigns that before the sealing and delivery of these presents aforesaid is the true and lawful ownership of the above bargained and sold lands and negroes and is lawfully seized and possessed of the same and hath a good right full power of authority to grant sell and convey the aforesaid fifty acres of Land and negroes with the appurtenances there unto belonging by value of his being the lawful son and heir of his father Thomas Allinder (deceased) and lastly the said William Allender all the aforesaid land and negroes and every other thing mentioned in the above mortgage or Bill of Sale unto the said William Morgan his heirs and assigns against all manner of seasons shall and will warrant and forever by these presents defend. Nevertheless it is the true intent and meaning of these presents that if the aforesaid William Allender his heirs executors administrators or assigns the full sum of three hundred pounds specie with legal interest for the same at or before the first day of December next ensuing the date hereof then this present mortgage or Bill of Sale shall be void and of not effect other wise the full force and virtue of law.

On the 4th day of decemebr 1790 appeared William Allender Jacob Forward before us the subscribers being two of the Justices of Harford County and acknowledged the within instrument of writing to be his Deed and the Land and his negroes herein mentioned to be the right title of estate and property of the within William Morgan his heirs and assigns forever according to the nature intent and meaning of these presents –Jacob Forward Enos Pratt
