Belmont County OH Land Record 1803

Daniel McElheron of Belmont Ohio to John Allender and Richard Allender of Maryland

This indenture made the Tenth day of June in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and three between Daniel McElheron of the Township of Pultney in the County of Belmont and State of Ohio of the one part and Richard Allender and John Allender of the state of Maryland of the other parte thereas the said Daniel McEleron of the first part fro and in consideration of the sum of one thousand four hundred and seventy Dollars lawful money of the United States hath granted, bargained, sold ,aliened, Released, Conveyed and Conferred and by the _________ doth grant bargain alien release convey and confirm unto the said Richard Alender and John Alender their heirs and assigns a certain tract or piece of land situated in the County of Belmont _______in to say Two hundred and forty five acres of land in Lot number thiry in the second Township and second Range of the seven ranges ________on the bank of the River Ohio say at Buchanan corner containing three hundred perches west along said Buchannans______ and then one hundred and thirty perches north and from thence three hundred perches East which will be along the township line and to the bank of the river Ohio and from thence along the bank of the River Ohio south one hundred and thrity perches to the place of beginning so as to make the above two hundred and fourty five acres of land only excepting and always reserving one thrid of all gold, silver, lead, orr, copper mines within the same for future sale or desposition of Congress, Reference being had to the letter patent remaining of record will ____ fully and at large appear now this Indenture Wintesses that the said Daniel McElheron for and in consideration of the above mentioned sum of one thousand four hundred and seventy dollars paid at and before the sealing and delivery of the presentes by the said Richard Alender and John Alender the receipt whereof in herby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold released and by these presents doth grant bargain sell release and confrim to the said Richard Alender and John Alender and their heirs and assigns forever all and singular(?) its(?) the above described premises tract or parcel of land together with all the houses out houses and appurtenances to have and to hold the aforesaid parcel piece(?) and parcel of land herditanunto (?) and premises herby granted or mentioned to be granted with all and singular the appurtanences unto the said Richard Alender and John Alender their heirs and assigns to the only proper use and baho-of(?) the said Richard Alender and John Alender their heirs and assigns forever and and the said Daniel McElheron for himself and his heirs doth covenant do and it the said Richard Alender and John Alender their hiers and assigns that he the said Daniel McElheron and his heirs the aforesaid Tract of Land unto the appurtenances unto the said Richard Alender and John Alender their heirs and assigns against him the said Daniel McElheron and heirs and against all and every person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim under him them or any of them and against all and every person or persons whsoever will warrant and forever defend in testimonry wherof the said Daniel McElheron hath herunto __ his hand and seal this day and year first above written
