Notes |
- It is not known if this James is the son of William and Anna (Day) Allender that is represented on the 1790 Census as one of three sons under the age of 16. But his household is the only family besides Richard and William showing in Washington County, Maryland after the 1800 Census. His family is shown there on the 1810 and 1820 censuses. It is not known where they are located after 1820. Two of his supposed nephews name their son James, as does his supposed sister Averilla. These acts speak to the desire for remembering a younger brother and an endeared uncle left behind.
