Preface to Allender family of Lehigh County, Pa. The branch of the Allender family that flourished in Lehigh County, Pa. has been well researched in the 25 page paper by Wm. H. Rinkenbach titled: The Allender Family of Lehigh County, Pa. (1958). It is fortunate that this paper ends itself easily to incorporation within an on-line system and thereby the work of this researcher is preserved for wider distribution. In addition to a very interesting introduction, the Rinkenbach text includes a discussion of the details of his research for each of the 48 members of the first three generations of the family, with extended remarks on the more prominent individuals in the early generations. These discussions and remarks have been copied in the Note area for the family member along with the Rinkenbach number for that individual. A print-out of these numbered Notes can be made and when assembled, the Rinkenbach paper is reconstructed word for word as it appears in the original paper, with all the flavor and color of the original wording. References, which are numbered in a list at the end of the report in the original, are inserted within the text in the on-line version. The data from the table portion of the Rinkenbach report converts to .ged data, structured and numbered by the automated program to which more names can be added as more research occurrs. The introductory portion of the Rinkenbach paper follows:
